How much does the summer cost?
Tuition is set each year, and a non-refundable deposit comes with your application to hold your place. Current amounts (and the option to pay online) live on the application: jewishadk.com/apply.
What ages is Yeshivas Kayitz for?
The program is geared toward yeshiva-age bochurim. If you're not sure whether you're a fit, reach out and we'll talk it through.
When does the program run?
The summer zman starts on Vov Tammuz (a Wednesday) and runs through Tes Zayin Av — roughly the first week of July through mid-August. Reach out for the current year's exact dates.
How do I get to Star Lake?
The yeshiva runs a bus from Crown Heights at the start and end of each summer — reserve a seat at jewishadk.com/apply/bus. You can also fly into Ogdensburg (OGS), Adirondack Regional (SLK), or Watertown (ART), or take Greyhound to Gouverneur, NY. Full details on the Program page.
Is the food kosher?
Yes — all meals served on campus are kosher. If you have specific dietary needs, let us know on the food intake form and we'll make sure you're set.
Can my parents visit?
Yes, family visits are welcome — please coordinate in advance so we can plan around the seder.
What about cell phones and the internet?
Smart devices with open internet aren't permitted. Phones can be entrusted to the hanhala for the summer. A public phone is available on campus for talmidim.
What's the refund policy on the deposit?
The application deposit is non-refundable. For anything beyond that, please contact us to discuss your specific situation.
Do you accept walk-in visitors looking for a minyan or kosher food?
During the summer, yes — please call ahead. Off-season we're quieter, but we still try to help travelers. See the Visitors page.
